If your solar system is interconnected to the Ameren electric grid in Illinois, you may be eligible for the distributed generation rebate.

Is My System Eligible for the DG Rebate?

Both new and existing solar customers are eligible to claim the rebate, so long as their system uses a smart inverter to tie into Ameren’s grid. Only the owner of the qualifying system can apply for and receive the rebate.

How Much Is the Rebate For?

The Ameren solar rebate amount varies by delivery service (DS) class, but it is calculated based on the system size in direct current (DC) voltage:

• Residential (DS-1) and Small Commercial (DS-2) are eligible for $300/kW-DC
• Large Commercial and Industrial (DS-3, 4 and 6) can claim $250/kW-DC

How Do I Get the Smart Inverter Rebate?

To take advantage of this incentive, complete the Illinois Distributed Generation Rebate Application and attach the requested documents. Then, submit the completed application package to Ameren.
