Job Description
Solar consultants are responsible for meeting with potential customers, educating leads on the benefits of solar and scheduling appointments for our solar specialists. Day-to-day, consultants will travel to target neighborhoods to talk with homeowners about the advantages of solar energy. Reps will manage a calendar to coordinate with senior solar consultants once a customer is interested in scheduling an appointment. Reps will occasionally follow up with leads over the phone. Assistant solar consultants may also attend company and community networking events that have a higher density of qualified leads.
Assistant solar consultants are not responsible for closing leads, though sales experience and exceptional communication skills will naturally lead to better performance.
Requirements:
Compensation: Solar Consultants earn commissions between $1,000-$2,500 per appointment that closes. This is how reps can comfortably earn $40,000/yr with a committed schedule and well over $100,000/yr as they hone their craft and increase their knowledge of solar.
